Northern Institute of Taiwan Studies (NorITS) from UCLan are excited to share the information about their last strand of 2024 UCLan Taiwan Spotlight Festival.

 

The strand HOME x Environment will cover 2 days of exciting events!!!

The Dukes Cinema Lancaster

  • Documentary Screening of Lin Jing-jie’s 林俊傑  “He is Still Young 他還年輕” (2022)

  • Q&A chaired by Dr Christopher Brown, University of Sussex

    • The film features a renown Taiwanese eco-poet and environment activist, Wu Sheng.

    • Caterings and refreshment during screening are provided ONLY for registered guests.

  • Authors’ Masterclass: Kao Yi-feng 高翊峰 X Chiou Charng-ting 邱常婷

  • Roundtable: “Writing Home/ Imagining Home: Sense of Belonging through Eco-Literature”

  • Public Lecture: Prof Ian Rowen’s “Translation of Taiwan Eco-Literature and its Global Popularisation”, National Taiwan Normal University
