Requirements And Due Dates:
• Submit a 300-350-word abstract and a 200-word biography by April 30, 2025.
• You will be notified of the acceptance or rejection of your abstract by May 15.
• The first draft of your chapter (7000 to 8500 words) is due September 30. The
final draft will be due October 30, 2025. Publication is expected in Spring 2026.
• For formatting/citation, please adhere to the APA style (7th Edition).

The Editors:
Sabella Abidde is a professor of political science and a member of the graduate faculty of
Alabama State University. He is an alumnus of Saint Cloud State University, Minnesota;
Minnesota State University, Mankato; University of Oklahoma, Norman; and Howard
University. His edited and co-edited volumes include U.S. Foreign Policy Toward Taiwan:
Ambiguity and Commitment in International Relations (Springer, 2025); China and Taiwan in
Latin America and the Caribbean (Palgrave MacMillan, 2024); China in Africa: Between
Imperialism and Partnership in Humanitarian Development (Lexington Books, 2023); and
China and Taiwan in Africa: The Struggle for Diplomatic Recognition and Hegemony
(Springer, 2022). Dr. Abidde is a member of the American Association for Chinese Studies
(AACS); the Association of Global South Studies (AGSS); and the African Studies and Research Forum (ASRF). He was a 2023 Taiwan Fellow and a 2024 Carnegie African Diaspora Fellow.
Victor Adetula is a Professor of International Relations & Development Studies at the University of Jos (Nigeria), an Associate Fellow of The Nordic Africa Institute (NAI) Uppsala-
Sweden, and an Adjunct Professor at the Abo Akademi University, Finland. Among his published works are "Electoral Democracy, Foreign Capital Flows and the Human Rights
Infrastructure in Nigeria" (co-authored with Olugbemi Jaiyebo) in Yenkong Ngangjoh Hodu
and Makane Mbengue (eds.) African Perspectives in International Law Investment
(Manchester University Press, 2020); and Political Finance in the Digital Age: The Case of
Nigeria (International IDEA, Stockholm-Sweden, 2024). He was the Claude Ake Visiting
Professor in the Department of Peace & Conflict Research, University of Uppsala (2013).
Professor Adetula has a PhD in Political Science (Political Economy & Development Studies)
from the University of Jos and an M.Sc in International Relations from the Obafemi Awolowo
University, Nigeria.
